The Sun

Most prolong the inevitable for as long as they possibly can. Most live out their lives convinced that it will never end. But then, when the day does indeed come to them, as it has a thousand times, and a thousand times more it will happen again, they ask themselves the same question, it never fails..., is this truly the end of this ill-gotten faery tale. For they have lived and lost, but never really lived at all, measuring their lives with things they bought, and blindly passing by every beautiful thing that they saw. I've watched them do it time and time, over and over again. My children that have forgotten me, though love them still I do, despite such disregard I receive from them. And as I lay dying, I too join them in marvel, staring up at the woman who put me here. Writhing in agony for three days, I gaze at her glory, and accept my fate without fear. Since the day of my birth, my love was for her. I awoke, full Spring, pursuing my lover. I'll never surrender but only to her call. For it is to her that my heart will always belong. From the morning I rise, until the day I Fall. Everything I am, I will sacrifice and so she will claim it all. My body goes cold as I prepare for death. For the Goddess I seek, her light is nearly spent. I am soon born again, as I am Horus, and she is Set, and we are no more enemies, as we are star crossed lovers, to whom we owe each other an eternal debt. Light for darkness is our loss and gain, through joy and pain. But until the end of time, it is a game I will forever enjoy playing. Till today is the past, until an eternal shadow is cast, when everything is nothing, only then can we be together at last. She is the moon and stars, and I am the light of day. She is the woman of my dreams, that I will never claim. But still I will always love her, even as my light fades away, and the snow covers the face of the Earth, to which are the ashes of my withered remains.

Revelation 13:18

"This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666."

What if I told you this has already come to past...

The Mermaid

I heard her calling so I went. I followed her cries to the shore, but they did not stop there, for her airy voice drew me further. I walked deeper and deeper. The water was cold and dark. The full moon shined down upon me, it's rays reflecting off the placid sea, shimmering like the stars in the midnight sky. In the depths I saw a leafy green growth swaying in the water, as if dancing to the lilt of the mysterious voice. The weeds shift, and stir. Suddenly there are eyes staring up at me. They are the red of love, the crimson of blood. They are so beautiful. She calls me still, and so I go to her. Her soft osculate lips lock on to mine. I pray she will never let go. To my horror she does not. She seizes me by the neck, and wrests me from my own will. Though lissome and soft, her hands are strong, but I do not fight her. No, I do not. Like a forbidden ecstasy, I will her to pull me in, and wish I had the strength to flee. She asks me to join her, to come inside her realm. I beg her to let me in. I know I shouldn't but I do, and she does. Deeper and deeper I fall. Indeed she will never let go. I will drown, but I feel no shame. I would have done it again, and again I will. She is life, she is love. But so true is she death, so too is she destruction. Nevertheless, I live for her..., And I will die for her. Again and again. Forever until the end of time she will call. I will come. I will sacrifice all to have her, and she will destroy my everything before she evades me, and so she does. As is her nature, as it always was. The true essence of eternal love.
